About us

The quartet was founded in 2020 by students from Chopin University of Music in Warsaw: Emilia Jarocka (violin), Martyna Dziechciarz (viola), Agnieszka Kiljan (cello) and Jakub Włoszczuk (piano). From the very beginning, the idea of the artists who are members of the Fono Piano Quartet is to promote Polish and foreign chamber music composed for a piano quartet. The ensemble performed during i.a. “Salony Muzyczne” in Łazienki Królewskie in Warsaw and "Klasyka na Koszykach" organised by Julian Cochran Foundation. The greatest achievements of the ensemble are winning: 3rd prize at 9th International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition in Gdańsk (2022), 1st prize at 8th Chamber Music Tournament in Bydgoszcz (2021), 1st prize at International Moscow Music Online-Competition (2021) and 2nd prize at 20th International Juliusz Zarębski Music Competition (2020).
